Insight Counseling Services
Les is a Licensed Professional Counselor and obtained his
Master of Arts in counseling degree from Siena Heights
University. Les works with adult men and women
specializing in marital counseling, relational conflict,
family counseling, men's issues, depression, anxiety,
adjustment issues, grief & loss, and Christian counseling.
Before coming to Insight, Les provided outpatient counseling
and was the Director of Marriage and Family Services at
Perspectives Counseling Centers. Previously, he worked as
a mental health specialist in an outpatient mental
health clinic in Wayne County.
Les entered the counseling profession after being in full-time
Christian ministry for nearly 20 years. It was his pastoral
counseling experiences and his desire to help people find new ways of living and relating that motivated him to pursue a counseling profession. Les partners with his clients in facilitating the change they desire and guides them on the path toward healing and growth. His passion is to facilitate restoration, renewal and healing in broken relationships, whether working with individuals, couples, or families.
Les is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors and the International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy. He provides consulting services to pastors and church leadership teams and presents seminars and retreats on marriage, relationships, and church leadership issues. Les is an active member of his local church where he teaches classes and serves as a guest speaker occasionally. Les and his wife, Rhonda, have been married since 1985 and they have two adult sons. Les enjoys running, camping, canoeing, and genealogy research.
