Insight Counseling Services

Kimberly E. Scott, LLP

Life presents challenges that can feel overwhelming and difficult to

navigate alone. I provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients

can explore their experiences, gain insight, and work toward meaningful,

lasting change.

Before becoming a counselor, I spent 20 years as a secondary educator,

an experience that continues to shape my work today. I work with

adolescents and adults across the lifespan, supporting them through

life transitions, emotional struggles, and patterns that may be holding
them back. Walking alongside individuals as they grow and move

toward greater well-being is one of the most meaningful aspects of

my work.

My therapeutic approach is collaborative and tailored to each client’s unique needs. I draw from a range of evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). Together, we explore patterns of thinking, emotional responses, and relationship dynamics, identifying what is no longer serving you and finding practical ways to move forward and reach your goals.

I have experience working with a wide variety of concerns, with particular focus on anxiety, depression, ADHD, high-functioning autistic spectrum disorder (ASD), and the emotional impact of chronic illness. When it is important to you, I also welcome conversations around spirituality and faith as part of the therapeutic process.

I earned my master's degree in counseling psychology from Moody Theological Seminary in 2008. I also hold a Master's degree in teaching and curriculum (2000) and a Bachelor's degree in mathematics (1993), both from Penn State University.
