Cindy Parks, LPC,  CAADC

Cindy Parks is a Licensed Professional Counselor with the state of

Michigan. Cindy graduated from Rochester College with a Bachelor’s

Degree in Counseling Psychology. She graduated with a Master’s

Degree in Counseling from Spring Arbor University. She also holds an

Associates of Arts Degree with a Mental Health Certificate from

Oakland County Community College.  She is a Certified Advanced

Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC).

Cindy did her counseling internship at Perspectives Counseling

Centers in Troy, MI. She later became Director of the Substance Abuse

program at Perspectives Counseling. Cindy has taught undergrad substance

abuse courses at Rochester University. Cindy also taught graduate courses in Counseling and supervised interns at Spring Arbor University for 14 years. Cindy is a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor.  She has worked with the Oakland County Drug Court and Michigan Problem Gambling.

Cindy’s specialties include: Substance Abuse, Gambling, Depression, Anxiety, Christian Counseling, Abuse and Trauma, Adjustment Disorders, Poor Coping to Stressors, Codependency, Self Esteem Issues, Family of Origin Issues, Grief and Loss, Phase of Life Difficulties, and Divorce Recovery.

Cindy realizes that counseling is not a “one size fits all”. She believes it’s important to create a non-judgmental, supportive atmosphere and meet each client where they are.

Cindy enjoys reading, camping, sewing and spending time with her seven grand children.
